Shop Assistant / Cashier P27

Contract Type: Temporary (P27 – 27 hours/week, typically over peak periods)

Job Purpose:

To provide outstanding customer service and support the store with stock replenishment, merchandising, housekeeping, and efficient till point operations—ensuring a great shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

Assist customers in locating products.
Address customer queries and complaints professionally.
Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude to enhance customer experience.

2. Cashier Duties:

Handle cash and card payments accurately.
Process Lay-bys and customer refunds.
Report any discrepancies or till issues to supervisors.
Perform daily till balancing.

3. Merchandising & Stock:

Ensure correct pricing and product display.
Replenish stock and maintain product availability.
Maintain store cleanliness and follow promotional setups.

4. Loss Prevention & Risk:

Tag products as per company policy.
Participate in regular stock takes.
Stay vigilant against theft and report any suspicious behavior.

5. Company Values & Conduct:

Represent the brand with professionalism and integrity at all times.

Skills & Experience Required:

Customer Service: Strong people skills with a helpful and engaging attitude.
Communication: Fluent in English (other languages an advantage).
Experience: Retail experience preferred but not essential.
