Job Summary:
The Semi-Skilled Spraypainter prepares surfaces by sanding and cleaning, applies undercoats and final coats using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to protect and decorate vehicle surfaces, mainly trailers and trucks. The role includes colour matching, operating paint systems, and performing minor repairs.
Minimum Requirements:

Matric / NQF Level 4 / Higher Certificate / NQF Level 5

2 to 3 years experience as a Semi-Skilled Spraypainter, preferably with vehicles

Ability to adhere to safe working procedures

Proficient in colour matching

Skilled in operating spraypainting equipment and applying paint evenly

Ability to work well under pressure
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Clean and prepare vehicles and parts for painting
-
Spray paint trailers and trucks using paint systems
-
Lift and turn jobs as necessary

Perform general housekeeping and equipment cleaning

Assist with minor accident damage repairs to operational maintenance specs

Carry out repairs to tautliner trailer curtains and roofs

Operate electrical tools and equipment
-
Conduct minor mechanical repairs when required
