Purpose of the Role:
To ensure the safe, timely, and complete delivery of fuel to customers across Sasol’s inland Energy CDF primary and secondary networks. The role includes execution of the outbound logistics fuel distribution strategy, alignment with legal and quality standards (ISO 14001 / OHSAS 19001 / Responsible Care), managing logistics activities, and resolving operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations and supervise subordinates, including HR responsibilities and performance monitoring.

Oversee execution of all fuel deliveries, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

Conduct and manage SLAs with all third-party transporters.

Monitor loading slot adherence and delivery scheduling.

Facilitate communication between transporters and the Logistics Command Centre (LC4).

Investigate product losses involving Sasol and third-party transporters.
-
Align fleet capacity planning with LC4 demand requirements.

Manage incidents and follow-up actions involving third-party transporters.

Perform audits and task observations on transporters to ensure compliance and performance.
-
Monitor operating budgets and reduce cost-to-serve.

Drive innovative strategies to reduce operational expenses.

Ensure compliance with delivery plans by own fleet and contractors.
-
Manage SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) requirements effectively.

Identify and mitigate operational risks in line with OSHACT.
-
Investigate and resolve all incidents (spillages, contaminations, MVAs, injuries).
-
Ensure compliance with SHE audits (including SQAS) and drive continuous improvement.

Ensure timely and accurate submission of customer delivery documentation.

Investigate delivery variances (e.g., losses or gains) per established procedures.
-
Enforce governance and compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.

Implement controls to combat economic crime (e.g., theft).
-
Support contingency planning during labour actions (strikes), product shortages, and price fluctuations.
Required Qualifications:

Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant logistics or supply chain experience
