About the Role

Boxer Superstores is looking for a Junior Demand Planner to join their Head Office supply chain team. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a passion for forecasting and planning, and a desire to contribute to inventory optimisation in a dynamic retail environment.

As a Junior Demand Planner, you’ll be responsible for supporting inventory and stock availability through accurate demand forecasting, promotional planning, and cross-functional collaboration with buyers, suppliers, and store operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with buyers to meet sales and stock targets

  • Forecast seasonal and promotional demand using planning systems

  • Manage supplier lead times and product review cycles

  • Monitor and reduce unproductive stock (e.g., overstocks, discontinued items)

  • Order stock for new store openings and promotional events

  • Track product performance and contribute to in-store planning

  • Maintain healthy stock levels in stores and distribution centres

  • Improve supply visibility and reporting for planning teams

  • Work with suppliers to improve delivery reliability and service levels

  • Support process improvements and attend relevant training sessions


Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in:

    • Supply Chain Management

    • Business Management

    • Finance

    • Or related fields

Experience

  • 1–2 years in demand or supply planning (preferably FMCG or Retail sector)

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with demand planning systems (e.g., F&R)

  • Familiarity with merchandise management systems and BI tools

  • Knowledge of BoMM system and reporting cubes (advantageous)

Core Competencies

  • Strong analytical and numerical reasoning

  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability

  • Effective communicator (written and verbal)

  • Ability to manage priorities under pressure

  • Collaborative team player with good organisational awareness

  • Proactive and adaptable to change
