Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Clerk to support the Human Resources function at our Polokwane Distribution Centre. The successful candidate will assist with time and attendance tracking, payroll processing, HR administrative support, and recruitment activities. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of HR functions at the distribution level.


Minimum Requirements

  • Education:

    • Grade 12 (Matric)

    • Higher Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Human Resources (preferred)

  • Experience:

    • Prior experience in HR, payroll, or recruitment (advantageous but not essential)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and PRP systems

  • Planning and organizational capability


Key Responsibilities

Time & Attendance Management

  • Track and capture employee attendance, leave, overtime, and clocking data

  • Maintain clocking machines and resolve related issues

  • Generate and verify time reports for accuracy

Payroll & HR Liaison

  • Coordinate payroll inputs between the distribution centre and head office

  • Prepare and submit data related to new hires, terminations, unpaids, and staff transfers

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all submissions

Recruitment Support

  • Maintain workforce structures by identifying and sourcing replacements

  • Assist with recruitment processes and onboarding

  • Keep employee records and files updated

General HR Support

  • Respond to employee HR-related queries

  • Assist with other administrative tasks within the HR function
