About the Role
Fedics is seeking a Food Service Assistant to support food preparation and service delivery. The role includes assisting with meals, keeping the service line clean and stocked, maintaining hygiene standards, and delivering excellent customer service. This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone passionate about cleanliness, food service, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained.

Assist in preparing and placing food items (entrees, salads, etc.) on the serving line.

Keep serving lines, kitchen, canteen tables, and other areas clean and tidy.

Record and store food leftovers properly.

Monitor and maintain high standards of customer service.

Count stock and ensure handover between shifts.

Report and act on customer feedback when possible.

Follow all health and safety regulations.

Attend relevant meetings and training.
-
May assist in training new employees.

Perform any reasonable tasks requested by management.

Must be willing to work shifts, including weekends and night shifts.
Minimum Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12)
Experience
-
1–2 years of experience in a similar food service or catering role.
