As part of its growth and commitment to service excellence, Fedics is recruiting a Catering Supervisor who will assist in managing the catering facility in the absence of the Catering Manager, ensuring that service levels are maintained and staff reach their full potential.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support management of the catering contract when and where needed

  • Oversee efficient daily operations of the catering unit

  • Supervise staff, ensuring coverage and task completion

  • Maintain preparation, presentation, hygiene, and service standards

  • Assist with unit administration

  • Ensure compliance with Fedics’ operational standards and controls

  • Provide daily costings to the financial controller

  • Oversee stock control and ensure policy compliance

  • Identify and address client needs or potential complaints proactively

  • Strong judgment and problem-solving ability

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Excellent planning and organizing abilities

  • Computer literacy

  • Familiarity with "My Market" system (advantageous)


Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric (Grade 12)

  • 2 – 3 years of supervisory experience in catering or related field (essential)

  • Understanding of stock management, costing, and controls

  • Knowledge of Fedics hygiene and quality standards (advantageous)

  • Previous or current experience in healthcare catering (required)
