Job Overview:

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking an experienced Cashier for its new store in Market Square, Plettenberg Bay. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent customer service at the point of sale, handle transactions accurately, and maintain a secure and fraud-free till environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service at the checkout
Build and maintain professional relationships with customers
Process transactions accurately using the Dis-Chem system
Handle returns and exchanges as authorized
Ensure all merchandise is scanned and paid for
Maintain cash drawer and drop cash into safe per SOP
Ensure own password and code security
Process all loyalty and rewards program transactions
Report suspicious behavior and customer feedback to management
Adhere to all Dis-Chem security and operational procedures

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric
Minimum 6 months’ cashier or till operation experience
Computer literacy (MS Office)
Strong numerical ability
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Basic customer service skills
Willing and able to work retail hours
