Job Overview

Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager to lead its Rochester Polokwane branch. This role is ideal for a retail professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The primary goal is to ensure operational excellence, drive sales, manage staff, and maintain a profitable, well-presented store that delivers outstanding customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Management:
    Drive and monitor store performance to achieve sales targets and KPIs.

  • Financial & Administrative Oversight:
    Manage budgets, expenses, and daily administrative functions to ensure financial health.

  • Stock Management:
    Ensure proper inventory control, stock rotation, loss prevention, and replenishment.

  • Merchandising & Store Presentation:
    Maintain high standards in store layout, display, and promotional execution.

  • Customer Experience:
    Foster a customer-centric environment through effective service delivery and issue resolution.

  • Team Leadership:
    Recruit, train, and manage staff; promote a positive team culture and high performance.

  • Safety & Security:
    Enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring a secure shopping environment.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    Work closely with service departments and regional management to meet business goals.


Minimum Requirements

  • Education:

    • Grade 12 (Matric)

    • Diploma in Retail Management or Business (advantageous)

  • Experience:

    • 3–5 years’ management experience in a retail environment
