Job Purpose

Responsible for serving as the frontline customer service point for trading of sports bets and managing cash exchange transactions for sports betting. This includes virtual sports bets, pre-match bets, and live in-running bets, all in accordance with internal standards and regulations.


Key Performance Areas

Prepared Work Area

  • Ensure trading area equipment (TVs, video systems, cash registers) is functional and ready.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the workstation.

  • Report and follow up on any equipment issues.

Customer Engagement

  • Provide a warm welcome, smile, and respectful interaction with guests.

  • Offer professional service and appropriate solutions.

  • Understand customer preferences.

  • Educate guests on facilities, products, and promotions.

  • Handle complaints, requests, and suggestions; escalate if needed.

Cashdesk Administration

  • Accurately record guest information and transactions.

  • Print daily fixture and odds sheets.

  • File backup documentation for audits.

Cash Desk Transactions

  • Place bets and pay out winnings.

  • Balance bets in the computerized system.

  • Monitor and report suspicious or underage betting.

  • Educate customers on betting types, events, and lotto betting.

  • Monitor digital odds and results boards.

  • Reconcile cash float and report variances.

  • Secure float as required.


Job Complexity

  • Requires practical application of procedures.

  • Interact with colleagues to ensure VIP customer satisfaction.

Work Conditions and Special Requirements

  • Must be available for shift work, including weekends.

  • Will work in a smoking and gambling environment.


Requirements

Education

  • Grade 12 certificate

Experience

  • Customer-facing or cashiering experience required.

  • Gaming industry experience is advantageous.
