Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12)
-
2–3 years of restaurant management experience
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
-
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Ability to lead and manage a team

Solid understanding of restaurant operations
Preferred:
-
More than 3 years of management experience
-
Valid driver’s license and own transport
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Financial Management
-
Ensure accurate daily financial administration in line with Nando’s policies
-
Assist in managing expenses and achieving gross profit targets (stock, waste, shrinkage)

Monitor and improve business KPIs:
-
Sales (YoY growth, Budget vs Actual)
-
Gross Profit, Ticket Average, Customer Count, Complaints
-
Labour Turnover and Payroll vs Turnover
-
-
Track daily performance against targets
2. Operational Management
-
Oversee stock control, hygiene, and daily compliance (Health & Safety, Maintenance)
-
Support audits and corrective action plans
-
Ensure adherence to operational standards
3. People Management
-
Assist with weekly rosters and shift scheduling
-
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff
-
Monitor attendance and staff discipline
-
Provide feedback, escalate poor performance, and maintain training records
-
Ensure proper handover and shift procedures are followed
4. Marketing Management
-
Help implement national, regional, and local marketing campaigns
-
Respond to customer complaints in line with policy
-
Support improvements based on mystery shopper reports
-
Execute local marketing plans to increase sales
5. Stand-In Responsibilities

Fulfil the role of Restaurant Manager during their absence
