About the Role:
Tsebo’s Fedics division is seeking an Assistant Catering Manager for its Healthcare division in Pretoria. The role involves supporting the Catering Manager with day-to-day operations, ensuring quality food production, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards in line with industry regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in meal, snack, and function preparation with a focus on quality and presentation

Support daily service operations, including lunch service
-
Participate in menu planning and costing
-
Place and receive orders, checking quality and quantity
-
Handle stock issuing and ensure proper storage and rotation
-
Maintain hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP, NOSA compliance)
-
Conduct on-the-job training and support staff development
-
Perform administrative tasks including salary variations and reports

Assist with regular stocktakes
-
Take initiative and lead in the absence of the Catering Manager

Attend training, meetings, and industry events/exhibitions

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of Matric
-
At least 2 years’ supervisory experience in catering or the restaurant industry

Healthcare catering experience is advantageous
