Role Purpose

Provide professional, relevant financial advice and products to new and existing clients, helping them meet their needs while growing sustainable, high-quality business in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business Growth

  • Support marketing plans to grow the adviser business

  • Understand market segmentation and customer profiles

  • Achieve revenue and activity targets

  • Promote the Sanlam brand and apply fair treatment in all client dealings

2. Networking & Lead Generation

  • Build business opportunities through face-to-face and social interactions

  • Prospect new clients creatively via networks and presentations

  • Strengthen relationships and identify sales opportunities

  • Use social media marketing

  • Generate leads and referrals

3. Client Consultations & Sales

  • Ensure compliance in client interactions

  • Conduct thorough fact-finding and financial needs analysis

  • Provide sound financial planning advice and present balanced portfolios

  • Maintain accurate client records and conduct annual portfolio reviews

4. Client Service

  • Deliver courteous, professional, and ethical service

  • Resolve business queries promptly

  • Foster long-term client relationships

  • Keep knowledge and skills current with industry developments

5. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and report contacts, appointments, issued business, and revenue

  • Maintain up-to-date client records and activity logs


Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • FAIS "Fit and Proper" registration with FSCA (over 24 months preferred)


KnFinancial advice and client relationship management

  • Compliance and risk management

  • Production target achievement and budgeting
