Job Overview
Pepkor Lifestyle is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support the finance team. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, this role involves assisting in financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting budgeting and compliance processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, eager to learn, and has a solid foundation in accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and assist with month-end financial statements and reports

Conduct account reconciliations

Analyze and report financial variances

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

Perform ad hoc financial analyses and generate related reports

Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts

Support the budgeting and forecasting processes

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
-
Grade 12 (Matric)
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience:
-
1–3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role (Retail experience is a plus)

Strong MS Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel

Experience working with financial systems

Solid understanding of accounting policies and bookkeeping principles
