Job Purpose

To operate and maintain the stacker machine efficiently in a high-volume print production environment. This role ensures that printed materials are correctly stacked, quality is maintained, and downtime is minimized through proper handling and communication with the printing team.

Key Responsibilities

Check availability of materials, job cards, and correct pallet tickets
Ensure quality of printed logs and completed pallets
Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the stacker machine
Conduct quality checks and report issues to the Printer
Adhere to all health and safety protocols
Manually pack sections onto pallets during jams or spoilage
Log issues or faults and report them to the Senior Printer
Provide assistance on the press as needed
Maintain high housekeeping and cleanliness standards

Minimum Requirements

Education:

Matric or equivalent

Experience:

1–2 years' experience as a Stacker Operator
Prior exposure to a pressroom or print production environment

Basic understanding of paper and press operations
Ability to work independently
High attention to safety and detail
Able to work under pressure, quickly and accurately
Willingness to work shifts and extended hours
Physically and medically fit for factory working conditions
Punctual with excellent attendance record
Shows initiative and commitment to improving processes
