Job Overview

Tekkie Town is offering an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Store Manager to lead our team at the Welkom Goldfields branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operations of the store with the goal of maximizing profitability, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a motivated team culture.

This is the perfect role for a driven individual with proven retail leadership experience, strong organizational skills, and a passion for sales.

Minimum Qualifications

Grade 12 / Matric
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management/supervisory role
Fluent in English and at least one other South African language
Proven sales and customer service skills
Excellent planning, organizing, and time management abilities
Analytical thinking and attention to detail
Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team
Able to work independently and under pressure
Positive, performance-driven attitude
Own transport and valid driver’s license (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

Drive store turnover and meet monthly sales targets
Manage store operations in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Ensure stock control and keep losses below benchmark
Oversee merchandising, promotions, and visual displays
Ensure brand standards are upheld at all times
Keep abreast of trends and new stock arrivals
Conduct staff coaching, development, and succession planning
Maintain store security, including opening and closing procedures
Promote and uphold Tekkie Town’s culture and values
Ensure compliance with company policies across the team
