Job Purpose

Nedbank is looking for a skilled and service-oriented Sales Support Specialist to join its Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division. This role is vital in providing seamless operational and client service support, aligned with the CIB customer, sales, and digitisation strategy. As a key point of contact between Nedbank and its clients, you’ll help build and maintain strong relationships, resolve queries, and enhance the client experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver world-class service via call/email by resolving client queries on first contact

  • Support Nedbank’s Digital First strategy by onboarding and enabling clients on digital platforms

  • Provide insights and support tailored to assigned sector needs

  • Ensure complaints, ad-hoc requests, and queries are addressed within agreed SLAs

  • Gather and share necessary info (screenshots, logs) for escalated cases

  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., TS Service Support Specialists, Coverage Bankers) to drive client satisfaction

  • Identify and recommend additional products and services to grow client relationships

  • Continuously upskill to improve first call resolution and reduce escalations

  • Support TS Sales teams with escalated client issues

  • Promote Nedbank’s client value propositions in every interaction


Minimum Requirements

  • Education:

    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (Essential)

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related qualification (Preferred)

  • Experience:

    • 1–3 years in a client service, sales support, or financial services environment


Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of communication strategies and customer service principles

  • Familiarity with data analysis and CRM tools

  • Knowledge of governance, risk, and control procedures

  • Understanding of financial management, credit, and risk practices

  • Familiarity with Nedbank’s internal systems and operational processes

  • Regulatory knowledge relevant to the financial and banking sectors
