About the Internship:
This is a practical training opportunity where the successful candidate will join BASF’s production team. The internship offers hands-on experience in a production environment, helping trainees develop skills and gain valuable exposure to industry practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily production operations and plant maintenance activities

• Ensure compliance with the OSH Act and BASF’s EHSQ policy for a clean, safe workplace

• Help maintain the Quality Management System

• Place raw materials on the production floor and transport materials/products using forklifts

• Verify that filled products have passed Quality Control checks

• Conduct regular plant inspections using standard checklists

• Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and equipment care

• Operate plant equipment safely and effectively

• Achieve monthly productivity improvement targets

• Assist in all other production-related tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science

• Either:

  • NQF Level 2 theory completed for Chemical Operators, with practical training outstanding

  • OR: Completed N6 in Chemical Engineering and requiring practical workplace training
