Job Summary:
PUMA is seeking a results-driven Retail Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in driving sales, exceeding KPIs, coaching staff, and maintaining high operational standards. This is an excellent developmental opportunity for experienced Supervisors aiming to grow into a Store Manager role.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Store Manager in achieving and exceeding sales targets, KPIs, and profitability goals

Spend 90% of time on the sales floor interacting with customers and coaching team members

Ensure a consistent, high-level customer experience aligned with PUMA brand values

Assist with recruitment, training, and development of store staff

Act as Store Manager during their absence

Conduct and support performance reviews
-
Manage and monitor Loss Prevention and operational compliance
-
Execute and oversee inventory, shrink control, and physical stock counts
-
Process sales, refunds, and exchanges accurately using the POS system

Maintain store standards, merchandising, and visual presentation as per PUMA guidelines

Maintain store condition and report any maintenance needs

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Must be available to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime when required
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
-
National Senior Certificate (Matric)
Experience:
-
3 to 4 years of managerial experience in retail (preferably apparel or footwear)

Proven sales success and team development experience

Experience handling operations, loss prevention, and visual merchandising
