Job Purpose
To support the compounding department with the receipt, preparation, weighing, and compounding of raw materials, as well as drug manufacturing and cleaning, in compliance with SOPs and GMP standards.
Key Responsibilities

Receive raw materials for compounding as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Prepare raw materials and obtain Certificates of Analysis (COA) where applicable

Perform batch weighing according to SOP

Ensure availability of materials and equipment (e.g., plastic bags, securiseals, pallets, tote bins)

Accurately document processes and make copies of required documentation

Cover and label all weighed batches appropriately

Conduct batch compounding in line with SOP
-
Assist with pre-compounding quality checks (e.g., conductivity, pH of water samples)

Perform drug manufacturing procedures following SOP

Conduct routine and scheduled cleaning of tanks, equipment, and department areas

Sanitize tanks as needed to ensure hygienic conditions
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
-
1–2 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry
