About the Role

RCL FOODS is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our Growth operating unit as a NAM Assistant, supporting the National Account Manager in servicing the Pick n Pay account.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth of one of South Africa’s leading food manufacturing companies, helping drive innovation, execution, and strategy across a key national account.


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric certificate

  • A Marketing or Sales degree/diploma

  • Valid Code EB driver's license

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in account management or sales administration within an FMCG environment


Key Duties and Responsibilities

National Account Management Support:

  • Assist in managing a portfolio of national accounts

  • Help develop and maintain strong relationships with key account representatives

  • Participate in sales volume forecasting and strategic planning

  • Communicate the financial implications of product changes

  • Conduct competitive market research and analyze product assortments

Execution of Sales Strategy:

  • Assist with strategy development and execution of account plans

  • Track and monitor growth initiatives including promotions and product launches

  • Follow up on product listings and manage pricing files

  • Activate and track customer growth plans

  • Conduct customer workshops and support promotional execution

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Monitor and report on sales performance per account

  • Conduct post-activation reviews and implement improvements

  • Assist with the development of presentations and professional sales materials (Excel, PowerPoint, Charts, etc.)

Internal and External Coordination:

  • Schedule and attend meetings with internal planning and operations teams

  • Maintain regular communication with customer support personnel

  • Represent RCL FOODS in customer meetings and corporate engagements


Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and administrative skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Commercial and customer insight

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

  • Strategic thinking with attention to detail

  • Strong understanding of FMCG dynamics and promotional execution
