Purpose of the Role
-
Manage debtors’ accounts to minimize bad debts following credit policies and agreements.

Control debt collection, overdue accounts, and reporting to reduce debtor days sales outstanding (DSO).
Key Responsibilities
-
Manage debtors book in line with accounts receivable policies.
-
Follow up on overdue accounts and collect bad debts timely.
-
Reconcile customer and debtor accounts accurately.
-
Handle order releases for blocked accounts per authority.
-
Prepare and process credit/debit notes, refunds, rebates, and monthly interest charges.
-
Allocate payments accurately.
-
Experience with export debtors including forex, Letters of Credit, and advance payments.
-
Communicate with customers and internal teams; handle invoice queries.

Support audits and ensure compliance with credit laws, IAS, SOX, IFRS, Companies Act, and NCA.

Promote safe work practices and apply Sasol’s risk management framework.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders to improve collections.

Requirements
-
Education: Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) mandatory; Diploma or Degree in Finance-related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3 years in a relevant credit or finance role.
