About the Information Governance and Security Team

This team ensures that Discovery's information assets are protected against threats, balancing robust security practices with operational flexibility across the organization.


Role Overview

As an Information Security Administrator, you will support Discovery’s security operations team. This entry-to-intermediate level role offers exposure to broader cybersecurity fields such as Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM), endpoint and edge security, and compliance functions.


Key Responsibilities

You will assist in administrating and supporting multiple security and access management platforms and tools. Specific tasks include:

  • Administer and support:

    • ManageEngine ADManager Plus

    • BeyondTrust

    • Azure Active Directory

    • Exchange Online (O365)

    • Citrix, SharePoint

    • Secure File Transfer Protocol

  • Review and respond to daily hygiene reports

  • Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets

  • Provide L2–L3 support for Windows environment (direct and remote)

  • Document technical procedures for handover to support/helpdesk teams

  • Manage O365 licenses and privileged access

  • Assist with permissions, shared drives, and access requests

  • Use standard corporate tools for change/incident tracking

  • Exposure to Windows and MacOS environments


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum:

    • Matric (Grade 12)

    • Basic IT knowledge and experience

  • Advantageous:

    • Diploma or certifications in IT/Cybersecurity

    • Familiarity with service desk ticketing systems and security tools
