Job Overview:

Boxer Superstores is seeking a Dispatch/Loading Supervisor to join its Gauteng Distribution Centre. This role is critical in managing dispatch operations, ensuring accurate and timely stock deliveries to stores, and maintaining smooth warehouse workflows.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education:

  • Diploma in Transportation or similar qualification in Distribution Centre operations.

• Experience:

  • At least 1 year of relevant warehouse/logistics experience.

  • Proven supervisory experience.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth understanding of warehouse systems, logistics policies, and dispatch procedures.

  • Proficient in MS Office and warehouse management systems (GLS System familiarity is a plus).

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure.

  • Good time management and reporting capabilities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordination & Planning:

  • Receive load plans from demand coordinators and execute dispatch schedules.

  • Work with Picking Supervisor to ensure picking accuracy and readiness.

• Dispatch Execution:

  • Check physical stock vs. picking slips (verify condition, expiry, etc.).

  • Print and apply labels, organize stock based on delivery routes.

  • Oversee forklift loading operations and ensure safe stock handling.

  • Handover dispatch documents and facilitate IBT (inter-branch transfers) processing.

• Systems & Documentation:

  • Capture dispatched items on GLS System.

  • Maintain dispatch records and manage delivery schedules with drivers.

• Team Supervision:

  • Lead Dispatch Clerks and Forklift Drivers.

  • Monitor team performance, provide support, and ensure task completion.
