Job Purpose:
To provide excellent customer service in-store by assisting with product inquiries, maintaining merchandising standards, and ensuring a clean and safe shopping environment.
Minimum Requirements:

Education:
-
Grade 10 (NQF 3) with at least 1 year of related experience, or
-
Grade 12 with no prior work experience

Other Requirements:
-
Ability to communicate in English and the local language
-
Valid South African ID or work permit
-
Basic arithmetic skills
-
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
-
Ability to work under pressure

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
-
Advise and assist customers with product selection and queries
-
Help resolve customer complaints effectively
Merchandising:
-
Ensure shelves and bulk areas are stocked according to store layout
-
Maintain planogram standards in the assigned section
Housekeeping:
-
Keep aisles clear and hazard-free
-
Promptly merchandise newly received stock
-
Ensure correct shelf labels are in place
-
Follow cleanliness checklists (toilet, canteen, etc.)
Safety & OHSA Compliance:
-
Follow safety protocols (e.g. PPE, safe stacking)
-
Ensure customer and staff safety in your area
-
Report safety concerns or hazards to the Store Manager
Stock Loss Management:
-
Report damaged stock to the Store Manager
-
Help maintain inventory integrity
