Job Purpose
To supervise staff and ensure that all creditor payments are made accurately and on time, ensuring maximum discounts are taken while maintaining consideration for the Unit’s cash flow and overdraft costs.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and guide senior creditors clerks; organise workflow and authorise creditor reconciliations.

Scrutinise all payment-related documents.

Ensure timely production of cheques and EFTs to meet deadlines.

Handle queries by liaising with internal and external parties, suppliers, and auditors.

Monitor that all financial documents are correctly filed by Chief Clerks.

Attend to other assignments as delegated by the Financial Accountant.
