Transnet invites dynamic, recently qualified graduates to join a two-year Young Professional-in-Training Programme designed to provide structured learning and practical experience in the field of heritage, fine arts, or humanities.
Programme Purpose:
Gain hands-on experience while contributing to projects that preserve, interpret, and manage South Africa's heritage. This structured 24-month programme includes mentoring, shadowing, and real-world assignments across heritage-related functions within Transnet.
Key Responsibilities:

Support departmental tasks and workstreams

Attend training, meetings, and workshops

Communicate with internal stakeholders and assist with supplier/end-user queries

Provide administrative support, conduct research, and assist in deliverables

Take direction from mentors and specialists to complete assigned projects
Minimum Requirements:
-
National Diploma or Degree in:
Heritage Studies, Fine Art, History, Curatorship, Visual Studies, or related Humanities field -
0–1 year of work experience

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

South African youth (under 35) will be given preference
