About the Role
The City of Tshwane is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to support the maintenance of trees and open spaces in Region 6. You will operate specialised equipment such as mechanical stump grinders and chippers to improve the urban environment and serve the community.
Key Responsibilities

Operate and control assigned vehicles and specialised equipment safely and efficiently
-
Maintain trees on road reserves, parks, traffic islands, and other city-owned spaces
-
Prepare sites for new developments and carry out maintenance activities
-
Follow all Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations (Act 85 of 1993)

Maintain mechanical equipment according to operator manuals
-
Work shifts as required, and assist with operational and maintenance tasks

Report incidents and ensure site safety at all times
Requirements
-
Minimum Grade 10 certificate
-
Valid Code EC1 driver’s licence
-
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
-
Relevant experience as a truck driver

Physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks

Willingness to undergo a criminal record check and fingerprinting by Tshwane Metro Police (at own cost)

Ability to work shifts and under pressure

Good communication skills and team player mindset
