Key Responsibilities:

Liaise between Finance and Merchandising to resolve data capturing errors and queries
-
Monitor, investigate, and report on inter-branch transfer (IBT) discrepancies across stores
-
Interrogate stock count variance reports, finalize and communicate stock count results
-
Process stock adjustments and corrections after investigation and verification
-
Manage return-to-supplier processes for damaged or incorrectly delivered stock
-
Ensure accurate stock receipting and investigate any variances
-
Identify and correct capturing errors
-
Verify and process supplier claims related to short deliveries and pricing errors
-
Produce weekly reports on capturing errors, stock variances, warehouse stock movement, and outstanding IBTs
-
Review negative stock reports and recommend corrective action
-
Document and report stock issues experienced at stores with the warehouse

Supervise the stock returns process between stores, warehouse, and suppliers
-
Trace item history to determine causes of inventory discrepancies and recommend solutions
-
Enforce and improve inventory and stock control procedures and best practices
Requirements:

Matric or equivalent (required)

Tertiary qualification in Stock Control, Returns, or Logistics (advantageous)

Minimum 2 years of experience in stock administration, preferably in retail

Fully computer literate with advanced Excel knowledge

Able to handle large volumes of data
