Remuneration:
R548,510 to R722,911 – Total Cost to Company


Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification

  • Secretarial Certificate (advantageous)

  • Exceptional computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and Email)

  • Strong office management, leadership, and analytical abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate resilience

  • Understanding of legislative frameworks and political service delivery

  • Knowledge of and adherence to protocol

  • 1–2 years of experience in a political or government environment


Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage the diary, office functions, and logistical arrangements for the MMC

  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, referring matters to relevant departments at local, provincial, and national levels

  • Screen and manage phone calls for the MMC

  • Develop and maintain an organized filing system

  • Coordinate travel and accommodation for the MMC

  • Manage procurement and payment processes for the office

  • Organize and coordinate meetings, workshops, campaigns, and events

  • Liaise with stakeholders on service delivery and political matters

  • Assist the MMC in monitoring outputs, workflows, and deadlines

  • Handle sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgement


Additional Notes:

  • Candidates may be required to submit proof of the NQF level of their qualifications
