Role Purpose
The Data Monitor ensures the consistent and accurate flow of health data from key populations within correctional centres. The role involves collecting, verifying, and reporting data, implementing data quality checks, and supporting monitoring systems like TIER.Net.
Minimum Requirements

Education:

Matric (required)
-
Diploma/Degree (preferred) OR 7+ years of relevant experience

Experience:
-
3 years in data management, verification, and quality assurance
-
Experience with net data management
-
TB/HIV and PEPFAR/DOH reporting experience
-
Previous work in correctional services is an advantage

Skills & Systems:

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

M&E system training ability
-
Familiarity with TIER.Net

Proficiency in English + one African language

Valid Code 08 Driver’s License

Key Responsibilities
-
Compile and maintain databases for HIV testing and VMMC at correctional centres
-
Generate and submit timely data reports to the M&E Specialist

Implement and train on new reporting tools within correctional centres

Optimize use of TIER.Net and mentor DCS data staff
-
Ensure data quality using verified audit tools

Attend stakeholder and role-player meetings

Coordinate regional data activities and maintain up-to-date source documentation
