Role Overview:
The Courier Dispatch Clerk / Picker plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of customer orders. This position involves verifying orders, invoicing, coordinating deliveries, and assisting with stock picking according to Syntech’s procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Dispatch stock by verifying orders, invoicing, and arranging courier or delivery services.

Manage delivery orders and prepare daily driver trip sheets.

Communicate order status and waybill information to the sales team.
-
Assist with resolving issues related to incorrect dispatched orders.

Prepare end-of-day reports as required.

Handle cash on delivery orders, including payments and cash floats (if required).

Notify relevant departments of waiting orders to expedite fulfillment.

Verify items and quantities for accuracy before dispatch.

Inspect goods for damage and ensure quality prior to dispatch.

Confirm payment before invoicing and dispatching orders.

Assist in quarterly stock takes and variance checks.
-
Collaborate with warehouse pickers to complete orders efficiently.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dispatch area.

Perform additional duties assigned by the line manager.

Proactively report challenges and ensure timely mailing of waybills and reports.

Pick customer and branch orders as per procedures.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (High school diploma) or equivalent.

Fluent in English (reading and writing).
-
Computer literate with proficiency in MS Windows, Excel, Outlook, and Skype.

Previous dispatch experience preferred.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work overtime to meet shipment deadlines.
