Key Purpose

To provide 7 unemployed individuals with the opportunity to enroll in a National Certificate in Food and Beverage Packaging (NQF Level 3) through a structured 12-month learnership, combining on-the-job experience with theoretical training at CCBSA Nigel Manufacturing.


What is a Learnership?

A learnership is a registered, structured learning program that integrates:

  • Classroom-based (theoretical) training

  • Workplace-based (practical) experience
    It results in a nationally recognized qualification listed on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), based on SAQA-registered unit standards.


Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizen

  • Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science (NOT Maths Literacy)

  • Previously unemployed

  • Employment Equity (EE) candidate

  • Must not have completed this qualification/learnership previously

  • Self-motivated and eager to learn

  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong team collaboration skills

  • Able to work effectively within group settings
