Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Purpose of the Role
To manage and control all administrative and inventory-related functions within the warehouse, ensuring effective stock management, compliance with internal controls, and excellent customer service delivery through structured inventory planning, execution, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Warehouse Control:

Maintain cost-effective and accurate inventory management.
-
Plan and monitor storage locations using ABC analysis.
-
Execute daily cycle counts and monthly stock counts.
-
Ensure correct application of FIFO and stock age policy.
-
Perform quality control checks for incoming and outgoing stock.
-
Report and manage stock losses, breakages, and write-offs.
-
Reconcile daily shipments, deliveries, and inter-depot movements.
-
Conduct ad hoc audits and risk assessments.
-
Track and report on shelf-life, frozen stock, and short-dated products.
-
Clear open SAP transactions (TOs, shipments).
Documentation & System Processes:

Use SAP to manage stock movements, posting, and take-on procedures.

Generate, analyze, and reconcile stock variance reports.
-
Maintain audit trails and all required documentation (load plans, gate registers, invoices).
-
Log and track inter-depot claims and customer complaints.
-
Support ICC, ISO, and Operations Excellence standards.
Customer Service & Compliance:

Ensure OTIF delivery and quick resolution of customer issues.

Communicate shortages, broken, or foreign products, and initiate surveys.
-
Ensure accurate stock postings and account allocations.
-
Report operational losses and support cost reduction initiatives.
-
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
-
Tertiary Qualification: Logistics, Inventory, Warehousing, or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in an FMCG logistics/distribution environment.

Technical Skills: SAP, MS Office, SuccessFactors, Strato (beneficial).

Other: Must be able to work after hours or shifts as needed.
