Organisation Overview:
TB HIV Care (THC) is a non-profit organisation with nearly a century of experience in health care service delivery. It focuses on providing services to both the general population and key populations at increased risk for HIV and TB, including people who use drugs (PWUD), adolescent girls and young women, sex workers, and more.
Purpose of the Position:
To facilitate the effective linkage of people who use drugs (PWUD) to healthcare and support services within the PWUD Programme.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 10 or Senior Certificate
-
HTS Counselling Certificate (preferred)
-
Experience in:
-
Linkage to care (preferred)
-
Working in primary health care facilities or hospital settings (preferred)
-
Working with PWUD in community settings (preferred)
-
-
Ability to travel as required
-
Fluent in English, Afrikaans, or any South African language
Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Recruit PWUD clients for services with the nurse or HTS counsellor

Build and maintain strong relationships with district health facilities
-
Collect data on referrals and linkage outcomes
-
Complete HTS and referral reports
-
Escort PWUD to health facilities to ensure linkage to care

Maintain accurate records in Department of Health HTS registers
