Purpose of the Position

To mobilise and provide pre-vulnerability screening of Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW), offering case management to those initiated on PrEP to support ongoing care and HIV prevention.

Minimum Requirements

• Education:

  • Grade 12 or TVET College Level 2, OR

  • Grade 10 with 1 year of experience in HIV programmes

• Age Requirement: 18–35 years

• Language: Fluent in English, isiZulu, and other South African languages

• Advantageous:

  • Driver’s license

  • HIV counselling experience

Key Responsibilities

• Create awareness and educate communities on issues affecting AGYW (including HIV, human rights, gender-based violence)

• Mobilise AGYW for the PrEP and PPPrev programmes

• Conduct hotspot mapping and pre-screening for vulnerability

• Recruit and engage AGYW and ABYM in HIV prevention services

• Maintain mobilisation records and case management registers

• Facilitate youth care clubs and provide support based on identified needs

• Participate in case reviews, training, workshops, and team meetings

• Submit timely reports and documentation to the Clinical Trainer
