Role Overview

The Time & Attendance Assistant is responsible for supporting time and attendance activities to ensure accurate payroll processing for Kolomela employees. This role involves collaboration with Payroll Officers, management, and team members to provide timely and precise timekeeping solutions.


Key Responsibilities

1. Safety and Health

  • Exhibit behaviour aligned with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Participate in SLAMs, HPHs, and risk assessments.

2. Performance and Delivery

Time & Attendance Support:

  • Correct time-related errors and monitor unresolved messages before payroll closure.
  • Process documents according to company policies and procedures.
  • Compile time and attendance reports, identifying deviations and notifying supervisors.
  • Conduct internal audits focusing on overtime, unpaid leave, and late arrivals.
  • Assist employees with time-related queries, including leave matters.
  • Maintain communication with management and support workflows.
  • Address payroll discrepancies and ensure hours are approved before deadlines.
  • Provide training and maintain updated materials related to time and attendance.

Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Anglo American policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in audits and implement required actions based on findings.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

  • Grade 12 (mandatory).
  • Payroll/HR certificate (advantageous).

Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in time and attendance administration, preferably in the mining industry.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with SAP systems (essential).

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Code B driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of Anglo American policies and reward procedures.
