Fedics, a division of Tsebo Solutions Group, is recruiting a General Assistant to join our dynamic team. The role involves assisting Cooks and Chefs with food preparation, operating the cash register, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and canteen.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Ensure compliance with company and statutory regulations regarding hygiene and cleanliness in all tasks.
- Food Preparation:
- Assist in preparing meals, including salads and desserts.
- Serve meals and ensure the serving line is clean and well-stocked.
- Store and record food leftovers appropriately.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and address customer complaints or compliments when necessary.
- Stock Management: Count and hand over stock to the next shift where applicable.
- General Maintenance:
- Clean canteen tables, kitchen, and other areas.
- Maintain order and tidiness in the workplace.
- Additional Duties: Perform other reasonable requests by management, including attending training sessions and meetings.
Skills and Competencies
- Enjoy practical and methodical work.
- Honest, reliable, and able to work in a team environment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and personal hygiene.
- Ability to work quickly, safely, and maintain stamina for 45–50 hours per week.
- Free from allergies to food and detergents.
- Physically fit to perform tasks like bending, standing, and lifting.
- Strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Must have completed a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
