Role Overview
The Cashier serves as the first line of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional customer service while handling transactions and maintaining operational efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and address their queries and concerns.
- Till Operations:
- Ensure tills are operational and clean.
- Count float and ensure adequate change and supplies.
- Process payments accurately using cash, cheques, or cards.
- Issue receipts and provide appropriate change.
- Stock Management: Restock and display items in the resale area, ensuring neat and appealing arrangements.
- Cash Handling:
- Count money at the start of shifts.
- Complete daily cash-ups and paperwork with accuracy.
- Report and account for any discrepancies.
- Front of House Support: Maintain cleanliness and assist with smooth operations.
- Team Assistance: Collaborate with front and back-of-house staff to fulfill orders and ensure efficient store operations.
- Analysis and Reporting: Prepare daily sales analyses and ensure end-of-shift cash-ups are conducted with the Admin Manager/Assistant.

- Confidence in handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems.

Qualifications
- Education: Grade 12/Matric.
- Experience: 2–4 years in a similar role.
