Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Telematics Administrator to manage and maintain our telematics systems efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and technical skills, with a keen eye for detail to ensure optimal performance of our systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management:

    • Create and manage client profiles on various platforms.
    • Activate billing and ensure accurate unit information is loaded.
  • System Administration:

    • Monitor telematics systems for accurate data collection and analysis.
    • Manage B2C portals to enhance user experience.
    • Administer the IoT/Sigfox panic system effectively.
  • Technical Support:

    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
    • Coordinate with the Amber support desk to resolve technical challenges.
    • Handle warranty processes, including device returns and replacements.
  • Reporting and Maintenance:

    • Generate reports on battery levels and unit statuses.
    • Maintain updated emergency contact information.
    • Conduct serial number scanning and manage escalations.
  • Operational Tasks:

    • Facilitate linking and de-linking of pre-used devices.
    • Perform bulk uploads on B2C portals.
    • Execute ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with internal teams to enhance telematics performance.
    • Be prepared for afterhours work when required.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Education: Matric (Grade 12).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
