Job Overview
ANEW Hotel OR Tambo is seeking a customer-oriented Reservationist to handle bookings, assist customers, and ensure a seamless reservation process. This position demands excellent communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 | National Certificate.
- Experience: +- 2 years as a Reservationist.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in OPERA Cloud Reservation System.
- Strong command of English (multilingual proficiency is advantageous).
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and reservation systems.
- Personal Attributes:
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with initiative.
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries and manage reservations via phone, email, or in-person.
- Provide accurate information on rates, availability, and special packages.
- Process payments, provide receipts, and manage booking modifications.
- Maintain and update reservation records, including attaching travel agent vouchers and guest profiles.
- Balance inventory and manage online travel agency (OTA) bookings.
- Prepare for group bookings, including creating rooming lists and collecting payments.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional service.
