Position Overview

ANEW Hotel Highveld is seeking a Reservationist to manage bookings and provide top-tier customer service. This role requires exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service:

   • Respond to reservation inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
   • Provide accurate information on rates, availability, and special packages.
   • Assist guests in selecting suitable accommodations.

2. Reservation Management:

   • Maintain accurate records of bookings, travel agent vouchers, and guest profiles.
   • Confirm and modify reservations as requested.
   • Manage OTA (Online Travel Agency) bookings and balance inventory.

3. Group Bookings:

   • Prepare rooming lists, collect payments, and ensure all arrangements are in order.

4. Payment Processing:

   • Process payments and issue receipts.

5. Collaboration:

   • Work with team members to ensure smooth guest experiences.

6. Problem-Solving:

   • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.

7. General Duties:

   • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
   • Perform additional tasks as requested by management.

Minimum Requirements

1. Education:

   • High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12).

2. Experience:

   • Approximately 2 years in a similar role.
   • Familiarity with OPERA Cloud software.

3. Skills:

   • Proficiency in reservation systems and Microsoft Office.
   • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English essential; multilingualism beneficial).
   • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

4. Personal Attributes:

   • Self-motivated and disciplined.
   • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
   • Team player with a positive attitude.
   • Flexible schedule (weekends, holidays, varied shifts).
