About the Role

Boxer Retail Limited is seeking a Master Data Clerk at its Head Office in Westville, Durban. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate data management and integrity across business systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Supplier Listings:

   • Capture and manage new supplier trade data.
   • Prelist and range for stores.
   • Update and audit supplier contact details.

2. Account Closures:

   • Manage closure of supplier accounts and ensure proper data recording.

3. New Item Listings:

   • Process new item listings using prelisting forms.

4. Master Data Attribute Changes:

   • Update changes to master data attributes, such as barcodes, product codes, descriptions, unit of measure (UOM), category, tax type, and shelf life.
   • Modify brand names and Pick n Pay article numbers.

5. Linking and Ranging:

   • Link/delink stores to suppliers and manage item supplier relationships.
   • Activate, derange, suspend, or discontinue items for stores.
   • Perform national ranging exercises and replenish types.

6. Buying Help Desk Queries:

   • Resolve queries about data attributes, barcodes, store ranges, and master/variant anomalies.
   • Address new store linking, range refreshes, and gap analyses.
   • Handle Pick n Pay IDOCs (265, 266, 248).

Minimum Requirements

1. Education:

   • Matric Certificate (Grade 12).

2. Experience:

   • At least 1 year of experience in a data-related or retail environment.

3. Skills:

   • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
   • Exceptional attention to detail.
