Job Summary
Feedem Catering is hiring Patient Liaison Officers (PLO) to manage the relationship between the kitchen and hospital wards, ensuring smooth and efficient food service delivery. The PLO will oversee ward hostesses, coordinate meal services, and maintain a professional and patient-centered approach. Both day and night shifts are available.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Grade 12 / National Certificate.
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Previous supervisory experience in a hospital environment is advantageous.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Good command of English (additional languages advantageous).
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and overtime.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Calm, professional demeanor with a focus on reliability and trustworthiness.
- Endurance to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Strong personal hygiene practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between the kitchen, wards, and ward hostesses.
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of menus.
- Confirm that ward hostesses are in full uniform and delivering efficient service.
- Address and communicate issues from wards to the kitchen.
- Make menu recommendations and notify patients of special requirements.
- Deliver meals and beverages to patients’ rooms.
- Verify patient satisfaction with meals and resolve complaints.
- Communicate changes or updates to the kitchen supervisor.
- Collaborate with the manager to identify and address potential risks.
