Job Summary
Feedem Catering is seeking a Cashier to join their team in Franschhoek. The role involves managing customer transactions, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate records of all cash and credit transactions. The successful candidate will have prior experience in customer service and a strong understanding of cash register operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Advantage: Customer Service Qualification.
- Experience: 2–5 years in a catering environment with a proven track record.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle customer transactions using cash registers.
- Scan items and verify accurate pricing.
- Process payments in cash or credit, issuing receipts, refunds, or change as required.
- Cross-sell products and introduce new offerings.
- Address customer complaints and provide relevant guidance or information.
- Welcome customers warmly upon entering or exiting the canteen.
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas.
- Track and reconcile transactions on balance sheets, reporting any discrepancies.
