Job Summary
Midas is seeking a Motorbike Driver to join their team in Vereeniging. The role involves ensuring safe and timely delivery of goods while adhering to company procedures and maintaining excellent service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Inspections:
- Conduct pre-departure and return inspections.
- Submit inspection lists to the Dispatch Supervisor weekly for sign-off.
- Report vehicle errors immediately.
Parcel Management:
- Verify parcels with the runner/supervisor before loading.
- Follow the New Dispatch Loading procedure.
- Deliver parcels according to the designated route and schedule.
- Ensure adherence to the POD (Proof of Delivery) and RFC (Return for Credit) procedures.
Documentation:
- Deliver documents and collection slips as per the trip sheet.
- Submit completed trip sheets and PODs to the POD clerk daily.
- Take responsibility for any outstanding trip sheets.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained.
- Report any vehicle issues promptly to the Dispatch Supervisor.
Other Duties:
- Address delivery or POD issues with the supervisor.
- Perform other reasonable tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Grade 12 certificate.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of delivery experience.
- Valid motorcycle license required.
Skills and Personal Attributes
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Honest, with integrity and sober habits.
- Clear criminal record.
