Job Opportunity: Despatch Clerk

Location: Rustenburg, North-West
Job Type: Permanent

Site: BR Rustenburg Depot


Purpose of the Job

To manage and administer the dispatch process, which includes receiving and capturing stock, printing documentation, invoicing, and performing various administrative tasks.


Responsibilities

  1. Stock Management:

    • Receive and capture stock from bakeries into the dispatch system.
    • Verify physical stock against system stock and picking slips.
    • Ensure accurate loading of trucks on time.
  2. Data and Documentation:

    • Perform data capturing for all dispatch administration tasks.
    • Process and capture invoices.
  3. Customer Support:

    • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  4. Supervision:

    • Oversee staff to ensure operational efficiency.
  5. General Administration:

    • Maintain accuracy in all administrative and logistical tasks.
    • Ensure compliance with business processes, rules, and procedures.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in in-house systems such as DRM, GP10, and GP2015.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency and results orientation.
  • Teamwork and the ability to foster collaboration.
  • Innovative and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated accountability and respect in the workplace.

Qualification Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
  • Must be computer literate.

Experience Requirements

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment.

Key Outputs and Conditions

  • 6-day position, including weekends and public holidays as required by the business.
  • Must meet daily deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints promptly.
