Purpose of the Role:
The Warehouse Operator for Loose Case and Layer Picking is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and counting products based on specific picking instructions. The role ensures efficient order fulfillment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and safety, contributing to the smooth operation of the warehouse and overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform loose case and layer picking by accurately gathering items according to picking instructions.
- Securely pack and label picked items, ensuring adherence to quality and packaging standards.
- Ensure pallet stability during picking, considering in-transit conditions.
- Count and verify picked items, indicating any shortages or out-of-stock products.
- Utilize picking equipment to efficiently navigate the warehouse and locate items.
- Collaborate with the inventory control team to report discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Report any product or packaging concerns (e.g., damaged goods) to supervisors for resolution.
- Participate in training to improve picking skills and stay updated on warehouse procedures.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company guidelines for consistency and accuracy.
- Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE to minimize risks.
- Support a safe working environment and contribute to overall safety compliance.
- Work towards achieving the team's goals and maintain operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG Retail industry.
- Licenses: Valid Electric Pallet Jack License.

- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the company’s values and HO HOLA culture.
- Friendly, helpful, confident yet humble, with strong teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
