Purpose of the Role

The Service Consultant is responsible for enhancing the client experience by delivering excellent service and meeting the needs of clients. The role involves using the Global One product offerings to support clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent client service by understanding and fulfilling client needs.
  • Assist clients with Capitec Bank's Global One products to ensure they bank better and live better.
  • Engage with clients in a sales and client-facing environment.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum:
    • 3 to 6 months of client service experience in a retail, financial, or banking environment.
    • If no experience, candidates with a relevant tertiary qualification may be considered.
  • Ideal:
    • More than 1 year of client service experience in a retail, financial, or banking environment.
    • Proven track record in a sales and client-facing environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum:
    • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational.
  • Ideal:
    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce or a similar field.
    • Certification in Finance or Banking.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Minimum:
    • Basic calculations.
    • Understanding of retail and consumer service environments.
  • Ideal:
    • Knowledge of Capitec Bank products.
    • Understanding of internal business processes and procedures.
    • Familiarity with organisational policies, including the Branch Credit Granting Policy principles (BCGP).

Skills Required

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.

Conditions of Employment

  • Must have a clear criminal and credit record.
  • Fingerprints must be detectable and recognisable on Capitec Bank’s internal electronic banking system.
