About the Role:

Ampath is looking for a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our team at the Cedar Road Fourways office. As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, the Receptionist plays a key role in delivering a welcoming experience and ensuring the smooth flow of daily activities. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.


Purpose of the Position:

The purpose of this role is to provide efficient frontline support to both external and internal clients of Ampath Central Services. The Receptionist will be responsible for managing the reception area, handling inquiries, coordinating appointments, and performing various administrative duties to support the team’s objectives.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Grade 12 with Typing and Mathematics.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role.
    • Familiarity with using Google Suite (Google Mail, Google Docs).
    • Knowledge of the Meditech system.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relations:

    • Greet and welcome all clients and visitors in a professional manner.
    • Handle client inquiries and provide accurate information about services offered.
    • Promote a positive image of Ampath through excellent customer service and communication.
  2. Boardroom Coordination:

    • Schedule and manage bookings for boardroom facilities to ensure efficient usage.
    • Oversee boardroom setup, ensuring that the space is ready for meetings and presentations.
  3. Administrative Support:

    • Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate records.
    • Assist with organizing appointments and managing schedules for the department.
  4. Cashiering Duties:

    • Handle cashiering tasks, including the collection and recording of payments for tests conducted.
    • Ensure accurate processing of transactions and maintain proper documentation for financial records.
